What is NyotaSkul?
NyotaSkul is a web-based school management system for Kenyan primary and junior schools (PP1 to Grade 9) following the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC/CBE). It manages learners, staff, timetables, attendance, assessments, report cards and fees, and its AI assistant, Nyota, drafts schemes of work, lesson plans and records of work for teachers to review.
Why Kenyan schools need a CBC-first system
Most school management software was built for exams and fees, then adapted for CBC. The hardest part of CBC for a school isn't the fee ledger. It's the planning: every class needs a scheme of work built from the curriculum design, every lesson needs a plan in the expected format, and every lesson taught needs a record of work. Choosing a school management system: questions to ask
Does it handle CBC planning, or only administration?

Does it work for junior school?
